Real estate taxes for fiscal year 2010/2011 in the City of Chesapeake are assessed by the
Real
Estate Assessor at 100% of fair market value X $1.04 per $100 of assessed
value for non-mosquito control areas and $1.05 per $100 in mosquito control
areas.

Billing
for storm water and solid waste fees in Chesapeake is conducted by the City
Treasurer. The storm water assessment is $44.10 for improved residential
properties due semi-annually on June 5 and December 5 of each calendar year. The
solid waste assessment is $18.00 for residential properties due semi-annually on
June 5 and December 5 of each fiscal year. The City Treasurer maintains a record
